This is an 10"x7" original gouache painting on Arches Coldpress Watercolor Paper.
A single white peony which in itself can symbolize many things, but for this piece I chose compassion. The gold is also a symbol for compassion and is used for the background. Depending on the light, the painting can have entirely different looks and feels.
