This is an original oil painting on a 20"x16" panel painted August 1, 2025.
We had quite a few sunflowers this year, and I have always loved how dramatic and beautiful they are in all of their life stages. This year I realized that as the large seed heads dried, the leaves shift over it to protect it from the sun. Nature truly is amazing!
