Dahlias in Sunshine - Original Gouache Painting

This is a 9"x12" original gouache painting on Arches coldpress paper.

These Dahlias were small, and a little disheveled, but I was so intrigued by their colors. The soft greens, and muted yellows seemed to go very well with the soft but saturated pinks. It was so fun to work quickly to capture their motion and colors in the fading light.
